In India, we are conditioned to think that a mother must know everything about her child. Honestly, nothing can prepare you for motherhood until you experience it. So to say that mothers know everything just because they are supposed to be the more responsible parent is an assumption I have always disagreed with. I seek advice from my mother, and my mother sought it from hers - that is how the journey of motherhood unfolds. When your child falls sick, your motherly instinct and knowledge will come together to try and help you to do your best, but even then, there is no guarantee that you will be right. That is why it is vital to accept that moms donât know everything and it is vital for mothers to accept that there is nothing wrong for moms to reach out for help, especially when it involves the well-being of their kid.
