Being a shade above 30 gives you so much perspective. When I look back at various times in my life, I can distinct remember how stupid I was am. That said, I have had some learning over the years. Without sounding too melodramatic, here goes… Don't have pre-conceived notions about anything. Always ask. Clarify everything. Understand the other person's point of view. Everyone wants to help. Let them. Tell them what they can do for you. Don't live your life by other people's expectations. Especially when they don't pay your bills. When you get advice, listen to it. Even if it may not be relevant to your situation. Only action the advice you find relevant. There is absolutely no benefit in making enemies. When you disagree, it is mostly wise to shut up. Be generous with praise and laughter. Never criticise. Understand that your life experiences shape your thoughts. If you have more life experiences, you will have a wider base of thoughts to fall back on. People change over time. Nothing
