Life in Local Train by Paresh Godhwani

Updated 5 Years Ago

The book Life in Local Train by Paresh Godhwani is being reviewed under Blogchatter Ebook Carnival Review Program. Everyone has a story, but everyone isn’t a storyteller. The title, cover, and concept of the book are good but not its presentation. If we talk individually, the cover is par excellence and the title is also catchy. The blurb is also somewhat okay. Blurb Book Blurb: It is a story of a commuter who had started his new job and commute via local train. This book will remind you of your train journey as this book covers almost every type of incident that can happen in a train. Level of humour In this book, Rishi is sharing those experiences. So, fasten your seat belts. Oops! Trains don’t have seat belts. So, take your seat before anyone else reserve it and get ready for a ride in local train. Ability to empathize In January, even my bike asked me, “Why are you kicking me so early? You don’t even cover me at night. Then you come early in the morning and start kicking. What kind of attitude is this?” My bike doesn’t talk but it asked me such questions by not starting easily and stopping in between on the way to station. Extent of explanation I didn’t like getting up so early in the morning specially at the time when blanket (not the train) is the best thing to be in. It was getting harder to commute in the winter. In this short review, we have tried to give a brief idea of what the book is about and author’s writing style through the excerpts from the book. For a detailed account on the topics dealt in the book, you can read Nupur Maskara’s review. Interested ones can download the book free from Blogchatter.
