It was tough day for Yazidis, on 2 August 2014, as ISIS attacked Iraq. The day before Isis attacked the country, it was holiday in Sinjar district, northern Iraq. All the Yazidis gathered to celebrate the end of a fasting period. Harvested wheat fields stood short and stubbly under the shadowless sun. That day, the atmosphere was restless and the temperature peaked above 40C. On this day, it was observed that the unfamiliar vehicles started to appear.
