Chickpea salad is a simple, fresh, light and healthy summer side dish made with chickpeas or garbanzo beans. Garbanzos are a great ingredient to use in salads. The spices, olive oil, lime juice and vinegar give this vegetarian salad quite a punch. Protein-rich chick peas are also called kabuli chana or Egyptian peas.
