April 2018 Reflections - Sanch Writes
Well hello there! It’s the start of a brand new month and there’s a chill in the air even though it’s not yet winter. I’m a bit bummed about that but I’m also glad April offered pretty good weather for the most part. It’s time for me to reflect on the month that was April 2018. What I wrote in April 2018 Towards the end of April, I attended a writers’ retreat with the lovely Pamela Cook and that helped me think a bit more about my work-in-progress and cut out huge chunks in it. I didn’t write as much as I would’ve liked this month but continued to edit and rewrite this novel. I’m still aiming to have a decent version by the end of the year. In April, I also finally got to see my name in print. Yes, the anthology for the Newcastle Short Story Competition was finally published and I think I can call myself a published author now. It feels weird though and definitely does not roll off my tongue! Imposter syndrome is still going strong. I didn’t write any poetry on the blog this month but that’s because there were no prompts.
